Trimming Some Fat.

We love getting the type of jobs roll through where we can get a bike back on the road mechanically sound with a little contemporary aesthetic reform to set it apart for the client. This 1974 BMW R90-6 was pushed through our bay doors but it sure wasn't going to be pushed back out. We hit this thing with our thorough tune-up, installed an electronic ignition, re-built the carburetors along with re-jetting them to be compatible with the new mufflers we installed. To install the new mufflers we had to remove the muffler and rear brake pedal mounts and build new ones for a proper fit. The client wanted a new lower profile seat resulting in the sub frame being modified and shorted to fit a new seat and slim tail light. To trim some more bulk we removed the existing rear fender and fit a shorter custom fender, installed shorter bars and removed the blinkers. Once everything came together she roared out of our doors under some brand new Continental TKC70 tires. Perfecto!

2018 Harvest Classic

Here in Austin and other parts of Texas October has brought us a great deal of rain causing great logistic disasters for many events. October 19th and 20th brought us the 2018 Harvest Classic and Mother nature bowed to the high spirit in the air generated by the organizers, participants and fans leaving a window of light rain and and great fun.

The Harvest Classic is a European and vintage motorcycle rally bringing people with a passion for motorcycles together and raise money for the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer foundation. These two ideas have bloomed The Harvest Classic to two days filled with an array of events that would catch the interest of any motorcycle enthusiast with great food and music to boot. New Look For a 1985 BMW K100

We just finished this slick BMW K100 taking it from a stock bike to turning heads by the dozen.  Our client Todd brought the bike in with a list of ideas and inspirations for a final product and left the rest to us to pick through and piece together.  Todd wanted to drastically change the look of the bike and wanted to do it with only minor modifications so to achieve this we focused on trimming off all the fat, a little paint and a moderate list of accessories. 

To start we removed all the fairings, original seat and cowlings and chopped off a little of the rear sub frame for the new seat pan we created.  Rich Phillips shaped the foam and wrapped it up in a custom leather cover uniquely shaping it to fit around a new tail light.  New BKS muffler system, new bars and some paint on the engine covers and wheels by Powder ATX was another big phase of things we did that drastically changed the look of this bike.  Before the bike was road ready we added the finishing touches by trimming down the front fender and re-located the license plate completing the clean and new aesthetic we were going for.
